No. 18 Poppy Bank Toyota Supra News and Notes
HEMRIC AT DOVER: Daniel Hemric has scored three top-five finishes in five NASCAR Xfinity Series starts at Dover International Speedway. Most recently, he started from the rear of the field and finished fifth when the series visited the Monster Mile last August. In addition to his Xfinity Series success at Dover, he also finished fourth and ninth in his two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts at the track.
DARLINGTON RECAP: The No. 18 team earned their fifth top-five finish in nine races so far this season with a fourth-place run at Darlington Raceway last Saturday. After starting seventh, Hemric patiently worked his way into the top five early. A stellar pit stop between stage one and two put the No. 18 Supra out front and allowed Hemric to build a three-second lead in stage two. During a caution period late in the segment, he was forced to make an unscheduled pit stop because of a flat left-rear tire. The setback forced Hemric to spend the remainder of the race battling back to the front.
LOOP DATA: Hemric’s standout start to the season is evident in the Loop Data provided by NASCAR. The Kannapolis, North Carolina native leads the Xfinity Series in laps in the top 15 and laps run on the lead lap. He also ranks in the top five in nearly every key category, including average running position, driver rating, laps led, fastest laps run, fastest drivers late in a run, green flag speed, fastest drivers early in a run and speed by segment.
ROGERS’ RESUME: Crew chief Dave Rogers is no stranger to success at Dover International Speedway. He has visited victory lane in the NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Series at the Monster Mile. His Xfinity Series resume includes a victory with Denny Hamlin in 2007, three top-five finishes, seven top-10s and 279 laps led in nine starts. In the Cup Series, Rogers led Kyle Busch to victory lane in 2010 and posted four top-five finishes, eight top-10s and 886 laps led in 14 starts. Last season, Rogers oversaw the No. 18 Xfinity Series team that finished sixth and ninth in two Dover races.

Since opening its first branch in 2005, Poppy Bank has grown to over $3 Billion in assets with branches across the San Francisco Bay Area, Roseville, and Southern California.
JGR AT DOVER: The Joe Gibbs Racing Xfinity Series team has earned 13 victories at Dover International Speedway. In 105 combined starts at the Monster Mile, the organization has racked up 38 top-five finishes, 63 top-10s and 2,770 laps led. Christopher Bell, Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Erik Jones, Joey Logano and Daniel Suárez have all taken JGR to victory lane at Dover.

Talk about going to Dover this weekend…
“I’m excited to go to Dover this weekend. I feel like it has been a great track for me and JGR in the past, so it’s definitely a place I have a lot of confidence going into. Starting up front is huge just because of how track position is with how short the race is and how it usually plays out with the stages. I feel really good about how our team is performing and felt like we had a great chance to win at Darlington last weekend. If we can carry that momentum into Dover and not have any mistakes, we should have another strong run.”
