Drivability the key at fast Las Vegas

Race 27: Las Vegas

No. 8 Cessna Chevrolet Camaro ZL1

Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Daniel Hemric will make his second Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series start at Las Vegas Motor Speedway after finishing 23rd during his Cup Series debut at Vegas in March. In the spring race, Hemric and the No. 8 team started fifth, but struggled with car's handling as the race went caution free save the segment breaks. Hemric also has starts in both the NASCAR Xfinity and NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series at the 1.5-mile track. He had an average start of 15.3 and an average finish of 16.0 in the Xfinity Series, as well as an average start of 9.0 and an average finish of 4.0 in the Truck Series.

QUOTES:

We had a fast Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in March, but we didn't have a lot of drivability in traffic, which is what we'll need to focus on this weekend. Our cars had a lot of speed the last time here, so hopefully we can keep that again, but just hit on the handling a bit more this time around.
