Daniel Hemric and the No. 8 Bass Pro Shops/Caterpillar Camaro ZL1 team finished Sunday's qualifying session for the Daytona 500 in the fifth position.
What this means during Speedweeks is that Hemric will lineup third in the first qualifying race of the Gander RV Duel on Thursday night. The finishing order of that race will determine the inside line, or odd number starting positions save the pole, for Sunday's 61st running of the Great American Race.
The Gander RV Duel is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST on Thursday, February 14 on Fox Sports 1, MRN Radio, and Sirius XM Satellite channel 90.
