No. 18 CRAFTSMAN Toyota Supra News and Notes

  • HEMRIC AT TEXAS: Daniel Hemric led 13 laps and finished fourth when the NASCAR Xfinity Series visited Texas Motor Speedway earlier this season. Overall, he has earned two top-five finishes and three top-10s in five career starts at the 1.5-mile quad-oval. Hemric also made two NASCAR Cup Series starts at the track in 2019. During his time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, Hemric claimed one top-five finish and three top-10s in four starts at Texas.

  • ROUND OF 12 RECAP: Hemric was the only Xfinity Series driver to earn top-five finishes in each of the three races during the Round of 12. The No. 18 driver started the playoffs with a fifth-place finish at Las Vegas and turned in a fourth-place effort the next week at Talladega. Last Saturday at the Charlotte road course, Hemric won the opening two stages before ultimately finishing third in the race.

  • SEASON BEST: The No. 18 team’s current streak of five consecutive top-10 finishes is their best stretch of the season. After finishing sixth at Richmond last month, Hemric has backed that up with a 10th at Bristol, fifth at Las Vegas, fourth at Talladega and a third last weekend in Charlotte.

  • PLAYOFF EXPERIENCE: Hemric advanced to the Round of 8 for the third time in his Xfinity Series career. He qualified for the Championship 4 in both of his previous playoff appearances.

  • ROGERS’ RESUME: Crew chief Dave Rogers has 27 combined starts at Texas Motor Speedway between the NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Series. His Cup Series resume includes wins with Kyle Busch in 2013 and Carl Edwards in 2016. Altogether, his teams earned six top-five finishes, seven top-10s and 655 laps led in 17 Cup Series starts. In 10 Xfinity Series starts at Texas, Rogers’ teams have three top-five finishes, six top-10s and 116 laps led.
