No. 18 Poppy Bank Toyota Supra News and Notes

  • HEMRIC AT POCONO: Daniel Hemric has one top-five finish and two top-10s in three NASCAR Xfinity Series starts at Pocono Raceway. His best finish (third) came at the track back in 2018. Last season at Pocono, Hemric finished 10th and fourth in the opening two stages and was running inside the top five before being collected in a multi-car accident that relegated him to a 28th-place finish. In addition to his Xfinity Series starts, Hemric also finished 13th and seventh in two NASCAR Cup Series starts at the Tricky Triangle in 2019.

  • NASHVILLE RECAP: Hemric started fifth and ran solidly inside the top five throughout last weekend’s race at Nashville Superspeedway. After finishing third in the opening two stages, he was involved in a multi-car accident on a late restart. Despite suffering significant damage and having to make multiple pit stops for repairs, Hemric rallied back to finish 13th.

  • ROGERS’ RESUME: Crew chief Dave Rogers has been atop the pit box for 15 total races at Pocono Raceway. In 14 Cup Series races at the track, Rogers’ teams earned three top-five finishes, eight top-10s and 63 laps led. In his lone Xfinity Series start in the crew chief role, Rogers’ team started 24th and finished ninth.

  • POPPY BANK: Poppy Bank will be featured as the primary sponsor of Hemric’s No. 18 Supra for Sunday’s race at Pocono Raceway. Poppy Bank is a 5-star rated organization and is recognized as one of the strongest financial institutions in the country. Since opening its first branch in 2005, Poppy Bank has grown to over $3 Billion in assets with branches across the San Francisco Bay Area, Roseville, and Southern California.

  • JGR AT POCONO: Kyle Busch took the Joe Gibbs Racing Xfinity Series team to victory lane at Pocono Raceway in 2018. Overall, the organization has tallied five top-five finishes, eight top-10s and 121 laps led in 15 combined starts at the 2.5-mile tri-oval.

  • TUNE IN: Coverage of this weekend’s Xfinity Series race at Pocono Raceway is scheduled for Sunday, June 27, at 12 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network, MRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

Talk about your mindset going to Pocono this weekend…

“As a team, we have a lot of confidence going to Pocono this weekend. Our Poppy Bank Supras have been fast every week and I feel like we are unloading closer and closer every time out. Dave (Rogers) and the team are doing an unbelievable job and Pocono will be another opportunity for us to run well. We have a good starting spot, so we just need to be able to maintain our track position throughout the race and be there at the end.”
